The show
Born from the chaos.
Chaos in Recovery started as one person's need to talk honestly about addiction and recovery. It became a community.
Why we do this
No filters. No shame. Just the truth.
Recovery is messy. It doesn't follow a straight line, it doesn't look the same for everyone, and it sure doesn't fit neatly into a 12-step brochure. Chaos in Recovery exists to tell that truth out loud.
Every episode is a real conversation with real people about what addiction actually does to a life, and what it takes to claw your way back. No sugarcoating. No performance. Just honesty.
The hosts
Steve O'Neil
Creator and Host
Steve created Chaos in Recovery out of his own lived experience with addiction. He started the show because he needed a place to have the conversations that nobody else was having honestly, and because he knew he wasn't alone.
His story is the backbone of the podcast. Every guest, every episode, every raw moment on the mic traces back to what Steve has been through and what he's still working through. That authenticity is what listeners connect with.
Jess O'Neil
Co-Host
Jess brings a perspective to the show that's just as important as Steve's: the view from the other side. As someone who doesn't struggle with addiction herself, she represents the family members, friends, and loved ones who are trying to understand, support, and stay.
Her presence on the mic keeps the conversation grounded and reminds listeners that recovery doesn't just affect the person in it. It touches everyone around them.
